I’ve never liked my nose so I finally decided to visit a plastic surgeon. I felt that the consultation went really well and that we agreed on how I wanted my nose to look. I was excited but also nervous. I went through with the surgery. I came out and I had bandages on my nose and took some time to heal. But when I saw my nose I was really disappointed. It was not what I wanted nor what I thought I had talked about with my surgeon.
I talked with my surgeon and he said it looked great. But I don’t see how he could think that it looks good. It looks different than what we agreed on. It’s hard to talk to your doctor when he doesn’t agree with you. He told me to wait a while until it had completely healed, which I understand. I waited 12 months like he told me to, which was much longer than I wanted to wait. But he still thinks it looks great and he said if I want a revision he will have to charge me.
I saw two other specialists and they both said it’s not a bad job. But I really don’t like it. If I want to have a revision or another nose job I will have to pay for it with a new doctor. I do not want to go back to the doctor who did the work. I know there is always a risk with plastic surgery. I would warn anyone to really think about it because you could end up with a result you don’t like. I guess my new nose is not worse than my old nose but I am still unhappy because I expected better results.
