I’ve often wondered what dust in the house is composed of. I looked it up and according to quite a few websites it includes dust mites, dead bugs, pollen, skin cells, hair, clothing fibers, soil, etc. If you have a pet, it includes pet dander. So it’s definitely gross. If you have kids, you have to make sure that you keep your house clean. Small children like toddlers and babies can crawl or walk in the dust and even put it in their mouth.

Once I read more about dust, I started to keep my house clean (or I should say cleaner). For example, vacuuming every other day instead of once a week. I also don’t let people come into my house with their shoes on. The things that people step on outside are awful. Then they drag in whatever is on the soles of their shoes.

I went to visit my son in college and his apartment was unbearable for a person like me with allergies. There was so much dust and I sneezed the whole time with watery, itchy eyes. It’s so important to keep your surroundings clean because it can really affect your health.
