After I had a facelift I went into a hyperbaric oxygen chamber for faster healing. It is great. You can watch tv. I wasn’t scared but some people can be if they are claustrophobic. I am not sure if it indeed speeds up the healing process but my plastic surgeon recommended it. My surgeon gave me the number of a separate office where they offer the service.

Some plastic surgeons recommend it and some don’t so I’m sure it’s controversial.
Hyperbaric Oxygen is great. I did it after plastic surgery and it speeds up healing. It can be expensive and insurance doesn’t always cover it especially for plastic surgery. But for many other types of recovery, it works and it might be covered by insurance.
If not, Groupon often has deals on Hyperbaric Oxygen therapy. I’m surprised more doctors don’t recommend it.
