Indeed is an online service that many people use when they are looking for a job. Recently they performed a study in partnership with Born This Way Foundation and conducted by Benenson Strategy Group. The study revealed that a third of 18- to 29-year-olds have quit a job to support their mental health
According to the survey, only 50% of adults under 30 are employed full-time, and more than one in three work multiple jobs just to get by. Having a college degree seems to make no difference in the need to have multiple sources of income, although, given the responses on priorities, these findings suggest that having multiple sources of income is not always a need but a choice. Working full-time typically demands a higher level of commitment than working multiple jobs—opting for multiple part-time jobs can result in increased flexibility, which can lead to better work-life balance and improved mental health.
The survey results found that younger adults are just as likely to leave a job for more money as they are to quit a job to protect their mental well-being. 29% said they had previously left a job for higher pay or benefits, and the same percentage said they had previously left a job because they were burned out. There is a clear correlation between employees who consider their workplace to be kind and value employee mental health and those who believe they have a good work-life balance.
Although this particular study was conducted with younger adults, people of all ages feel stress and pressure on their mental health when they are in a toxic environment at work. Many people are finding that several part-time jobs are better than a full-time job and as moving statistics seem to show, many people are moving from high-cost areas to lower-cost areas in order to have a better lifestyle or simply to make ends meet.

It’s no way to live anymore. High prices on everything, can’t afford a house even with a decent salary. Toxic jobs, toxic managers. I drive for an airport service to help make ends meet and to supplement my income.
I can definitely relate to this. With one job my company works me to the bone. Plus the state I live in
