I recently received an email from my doctor for a “special” on Salmon Sperm Microneedling. That sounded suspect to me so I researched it. It is actually a treatment that uses Polydeoxyribonucelotide or PDRN a.k.a. PD. It’s a DNA component extracted from salmon sperm apparently. This PDRN is injected into the face to stimulate collagen production and cell renewal. It does seem kind of gross when you think about it but I’ve heard that it works. Still, there are other growth factors that my doctor has used in the past. I was happy with the results so I think I will pass on this one.
It does sound gross but it actually really works! My skin looked great afterwards.
