I’ve had three children and my body definitely changed. I dieted and exercised but I still have a completely different stomach, much bigger than before having had children. But at the end of the day, as much as I don’t like it, I do have three beautiful children. My daughter held my face in her hands and said, “Mom, you are beautiful.”

My neighbor just had a baby and I saw her strolling her baby in our neighborhood. The first thing she said was that she was trying to exercise to lose the baby weight. I was more focused on her beautiful baby.

Women often feel pressured to have a great body after having children. How often have we seen articles about celebrities who miraculously got back into the perfect body shape? That is their business and they make money based on how they look. A lot of pictures are not even real.

The bottom line is that I would rather have children any day of the week than have a great body with no children. There are so many ways to get in shape too. And if someone really wants to use resources, there’s a tummy tuck, breast lift, and fat freezing. But if you don’t want to go to an extreme, you can learn to love your body just the way you are.

In theory that is definitely true, but I always feel so bad about myself because I don’t have the body I used to.
