When my son was in preschool he was invited to a birthday party at the home of a prominent family. The house was meticulously decorated by an interior design firm. They used all-white throughout the house. White couches, white curtains, white rugs over teak hardwood floors. The bathrooms were also white including the walls. When a child went into the bathroom, presumably without a parent, he discovered there was no toilet paper. He proceeded to wipe his feces all over the walls. He was only 4 years old. When the mother who hosted the party went into the bathroom we all heard a scream. She proceeded to question all the children and parents to figure out who was the culprit. Since no suspect came forward, she asked everyone to leave and that was the end of the birthday party.

The point of the story is that kids are dirty, messy, and love to spread germs. After all, they are kids. But it is up to the parents/caretakers to watch them, help them wash their hands, and offer hand sanitizer (kid-friendly). If kids are left alone they can pass germs to their friends, parents and get really sick.
