I woke up with severe pain in my abdomen and nauseous. I was sweating and had diarrhea. The normal symptoms of gallstones are nausea or vomiting, pain between shoulder blades, pain below right shoulder, pain in the upper right abdomen. My doctor told me that it is very common not to have symptoms at all.
Anyway, I was really ill and went to the emergency room. I was admitted to the hospital.
My doctor had already done tests. I had my gallbladder removed. It is not supposed to be that risky but I was definitely scared. Due to obesity, I think I was considered high risk.

It must have been serious. My roommate had symptoms and the emergency room sent him home. Then later he had his gallbladder removed. I think it’s because it’s too expensive to be admitted to the hospital. So even if you are really ill they try to send you home and then schedule surgery later.
