Christina Applegate just received a Hollywood Walk of Fame star in Hollywood. It was such a special occasion since she always wanted a star on the Hollywood sidewalk. If you’ve ever been there, you can see lots of stars embedded in the sidewalk with famous names. It was amazing that she accepted the award so happily, crying with joy and thanking so many people.
This was all in the middle of her recent diagnosis of multiple sclerosis. She walks with a cane, often has a wheelchair, and has gained 40 pounds in the process. She is not afraid to boldly declare that she has a disease. She has someone help her as she stands.
What an amazing woman. I thought she might hide somewhere since Hollywood and the celebrity world can be so shallow sometimes. But she is not afraid to talk about her illness and she is glowing. She is just as lively, funny, and over-the-top attractive as always. It’s her positive outlook that makes her so beautiful and of course, she is physically beautiful as well.
I applaud her for her openness and unapologetic journey into her next stage of life. She seems grateful for everything she has had in life, especially her daughter. She also had breast cancer so she has had her share of health problems. Bravo to her for her outlook on life.
